\subsection{I Timothy 4} \VS{1} Now the spirit explicitly says that in the latter seasons\fnKairos() some will withdraw from the faith, giving heed to deceptive spirits and teachings of demons, \VS{2} speaking lies in hypocrisy, their own conscience seared, \VS{3} hindering\footnote{or ``forbidding''} to be marrying, [commanding] to be abstaining from foods, which God created for sharing with thanks to those believing and having known the truth. \VS{4} For every creation of God is good, and nothing [is to be] rejected, being received with thanksgiving. \VS{5} For it is made holy through [the] word of God and thankful prayer. \VS{6} Having made these [things] known to the brothers, you will be [a] good servant of Christ Jesus, brought up in the words of faith and of good teaching, which you have followed. \VS{7} But be refusing profane and old-wives tales. Rather be exercising yourself for godliness. \VS{8} For bodily exercise is little profitable, but godliness is profitable towards everything, having promise of zoe-life\fnZoe{} now and to come. \VS{9} Trustworthy [is this] word and worthy of all acceptance. \VS{10} For this therefore we labor and we struggle, because we have hoped on [the] zoe-living\fnZoe{} God, who is savior of all men, especially of [those] believing. \VS{11} Be commanding and be teaching these [things]. \VS{12} Let\fnImperative{} no one be despising your youth, but become [a] pattern for the believers in word, in conduct, in agape-love, in faith, in purity. \VS{13} Until I come, be occupying yourself with reading, with exhortation, with teaching. \VS{14} Be not neglecting your gift, which was given to you through prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the elder. \VS{15} Be cultivating these [things], be in them, in order that your progress be evident to all. \VS{16} Be attending to yourself, and to [your] teaching, be persevering in them, for doing this you will save yourself and those hearing you.
