## 37:4 %% 5 > Delight Yourself in the Lord >> Also delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Occasion: Seeking contentment in God Lord, teach me to sit still in the life I have today --- this place, this body, this table, this portion. Some days, what I have does not feel like enough. I compare it with what I hoped for, or with what seems to have been given to others. I keep imagining that contentment is waiting just beyond the life in front of me. Let me receive what is here without always leaning toward what is elsewhere. Wanting more can become a low noise that follows me through the day and keeps me from tasting what is in my hand. I do not always know how to quiet it. Even gratitude can feel like something I am trying to force. Be my enough. Not as a phrase I repeat to make disappointment disappear, but as grace for this present moment. In an ordinary meal. In an unremarkable hour. In the quiet after the dishes are put away. Here, Lord. Here in this room. Here, be my enough. Amen.
