>> This is the day that the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Occasion: When I've had a good day

Lord, today was good.

Nothing spectacular.
No sea parted.
No mountain moved.

It was simply good.

There was food I enjoyed,
work worth doing,
a laugh I did not expect,
someone I was glad to share time with.

For once I do not come to You
because something hurts
or because I need an answer.

I come because the day was good,
and I noticed.

Thank You.

Thank You for ordinary happiness,
for moments that ask nothing of me
except that I receive them.

I know every day will not feel like this.

That makes me want to notice this one.

This is the day You made.

I was here for it.

And I am glad.
And grateful.

Amen.
