\VS{1} [There is] therefore no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus \footnote{insert ``who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit.'' \koine{}; txt:

|
\VS{2} For the law of the spirit of the zoe-life\fnZoe{} in Christ Jesus
|
|
has freed me\footnote{instead ``you'' B\sinaiticus{}it sy; txt: AC\koine{}D most
|
|
lat} from the law of sin and death.
|
|
\VS{3} For the law [being] unable, in which we
|
|
were weak through the flesh, God having sent his own son in the likeness of
|
|
sinful flesh and for sin, has condemned sin in the flesh,
|
|
\VS{4} in order
|
|
that the justification of the law be fulfilled in us [who are] walking not according
|
|
to [the] flesh, but according to [the] spirit.
|
|
\VS{5} For those being according to the
|
|
flesh are inclined towards the [things] of the flesh, but those according to the
|
|
spirit [towards] the [things] of the spirit.
|
|
\VS{6} For the inclination of the flesh [is] death,
|
|
but the inclination of the spirit is zoe-life\fnZoe{} and peace,
|
|
\VS{7} because the
|
|
inclination of the flesh [is] enmity towards God; for it is not subject to the
|
|
law of God, for it is neither able.
|
|
\VS{8} So those being in the flesh are not able to please God.
|
|
\VS{9} But you are not in [the] flesh but in [the] spirit, if
|
|
indeed the spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have [the] spirit
|
|
of Christ, this [one] is not his.
|
|
\VS{10} . But if Christ [be] in you, on the one hand
|
|
the body [is] dead because of the law, but on the other hand the spirit [is] zoe-alive\fnZoe{} because of justice.
|
|
\VS{11} So if the spirit of the [one] having raised Jesus
|
|
from the dead dwells in you, the [one] having raised Christ Jesus from the dead
|
|
will also make zoe-alive your death-like bodies through his indwelling spirit in you.
|
|
\VS{12} Therefore, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh to zoe-live\fnZoe{}
|
|
according to the flesh.
|
|
\VS{13} For if you zoe-live\fnZoe{} according to the flesh, you
|
|
are [about] to be dying. But if by [the] spirit you are putting to death the deeds of
|
|
the body, you will zoe-live\fnZoe{}.
|
|
\VS{14} For as many as are led by [the] spirit of God,
|
|
these are sons of God.
|
|
\VS{15} For you have not received [the] spirit of slavery
|
|
again to fear, but you have received [the] spirit of sonship, in which we cry:
|
|
Daddy, Father.
|
|
\VS{16} The spirit itself co-witnesses with our spirit that we are sons of God.
|
|
\VS{17} But if sons, also heirs; heirs on the one hand
|
|
of God, but on the other, co-heirs of Christ, if indeed we co-suffer in
|
|
order that we be co-glorified.
|
|
\VS{18} For I reckon that the sufferings of
|
|
the present season\fnKairos{} are not worthy [to be compared] to the glory [about] to be revealed to us.
|
|
\VS{19} For the anticipation of creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons
|
|
of God.
|
|
\VS{20} For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly,
|
|
but because of the [one] having subjected [it], in hope,
|
|
\VS{21} because the same
|
|
creation will also be freed from the slavery of corruption to the freedom of
|
|
the glory of the sons of God.
|
|
\VS{22} For we know that all creation groans
|
|
and travails together until now.
|
|
\VS{23} But not only [they], but we also having
|
|
the first fruits of the spirit, also ourselves sigh in ourselves, eagerly
|
|
awaiting sonship, the redemption of our bodies.
|
|
\VS{24} For we have been
|
|
saved by hope, but hope [which is] seen is not hope, for what one sees, why also hope
|
|
[for it]?
|
|
\VS{25} But if we hope for what we do not see, through endurance we
|
|
eagerly await [it].
|
|
\VS{26} But likewise the spirit also helps with our
|
|
weakness. For what we should pray for we do not know as we ought, but the
|
|
spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groans.
|
|
\VS{27} And the [one]
|
|
searching the hearts knows what [is] the inclination of the spirit, for he
|
|
intercedes in behalf of the holy [ones] according to [the will of] God.
|
|
\VS{28} For we know
|
|
that he works everything together for good by\footnote{or ``in'', ``for''}
|
|
those agape-loving God, by\footnote{or ``in'', ``for''} those called
|
|
according to [his] purposes.
|
|
\VS{29} Because whom he foreknew, he predestined [to be]
|
|
conformed to the likeness of his son, so that he is [the] first born among many
|
|
brothers.
|
|
\VS{30} So whom he predestined, these he also called, and whom he
|
|
called, these he also justified, and whom he justified, these he also
|
|
glorified.
|
|
\VS{33} What therefore will we say to these [things]? If God [is] in our
|
|
behalf, who [is] against us?
|
|
\VS{32} Who indeed did not spare his own son, but
|
|
delivered him up in behalf of us all, how will he not with him also
|
|
give\footnote{from GRACE} to us everything?
|
|
\VS{33} Who will accuse against
|
|
the chosen of God? God is the [one] justifying.
|
|
\VS{34} Who [is] the [one] condemning?
|
|
[Shall] Christ Jesus the [one] having died, rather having been raised, who is at the
|
|
right of God, who intercedes in our behalf?
|
|
\VS{35} Who will separate us
|
|
from the agape-love of Christ? Distress or affliction or persecution or
|
|
famine or nakedness or peril or sword?
|
|
\VS{36} Just as it is written that:
|
|
|
|

|
|
For your sake we are put to death all day, \\
|
|
We are reckoned as sheep for [the] slaughter.
|
|
\end{verse}
|
|
|
|
\VS{37} Rather in all these [things] we are super-conquerors through the [one] having
|
|
agape-loved us.
|
|
\VS{38} For I am persuaded that neither death nor zoe-life\fnZoe{} nor
|
|
angels nor rulers nor [things] present nor [things] [about] to be nor powers
|
|
\VS{39} nor height nor
|
|
depth nor any other created [thing] will be able to separate us from the agape-love
|
|
of God [which] is Christ Jesus our Lord.
