\subsection{Mark 3}

\subsubsection{Healing a Withered Hand}
\VS{1} And he came in again into [the] synagogue,
and [a] person\fnAnthropos{} was there having [a] withered hand.
\VS{2} And they were watching him closely if on the Sabbaths he will heal him,
in order that they may accuse him.
\VS{3} And he says to the person having the withered hand: Be arising to the middle.
\VS{4} And he says to them: Is it permissible on the Sabbaths to do good or to do bad,
to save [a] psyche-life\fnPsyche{} or to kill? But they were silent.
\VS{5} And having looked around at them with anger,
being grieved concerning the hardness of their hearts, he says to the man:
Stretch out [your] hand.
And he stretched [it] out and his hand was restored.
\VS{6} And immediately the Pharisees having gone out with the \Herodians,
[they] were giving counsel against him, how they may destroy him.
\subsubsection{Crowds by the Sea}
\VS{7} And \Iesous with his disciples withdrew to the sea;
and [a] great multitude from \Galilee followed, also from \\Judea,
\VS{8} and from \Ieros and from Iduma\'{i}as
and the other side of the \Jordan and [from] around \Tyre and \Sidon,
[a] great multitude, hearing how many [things] he was doing, they came to him.
\VS{9} And he spoke to his disciples in order that [a] small-boat attend to him
because of the crowd in order that they not press him.
\VS{10} For he had healed many, so as to be falling on him
in order that from him they touch him [for] whatever they were having as scourges.
\VS{11} And the unclean spirits, whenever they were seeing him,
were falling down before him, and were crying out saying:
You are the Son of God.
\VS{12} And he was rebuking them much, in order that they not make him manifest.
\subsubsection{Appointing the Twelve Apostles}
\VS{13} And going up to the mountain,
and calling to himself whomever he wished, they also departed to him.
\VS{14} And he produced twelve%

\footnote{insert ``whom he also named apostles" \sinaiticus{} \hesychian{}BW; text: D\koine{} \vulgate{} }
in order that they be with him, and in order that he send them to be preaching,
\VS{15} and to be having authority to be casting out demons, and he produced the twelve.
\VS{16} And he set aside to \Simon [a] name: \Petros,
\VS{17} and \Jacob\fnJacob{} the [son] of \Zebedee, and \John the brother of \Jacob\fnJacob{},
and he set aside [a] name to them, Boan\={e}rg\'{e}s, which is ``son of thunder,''
\VS{18} and \Andrew and \Phillip and Bartholemew and \Matthew and \Thomas and \Jacob\fnJacob{} the
[son] of \Alpheus and \Thaddeus and \Simon the Zealot
\VS{19} and \Ioudas \Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
\subsubsection{\Iesous and Beelzebul}
\VS{20} And he comes to [the] house,
and again the crowd comes with [him] so that they are not able not even to eat bread.
\VS{21} And when those beside him heard they came out to take hold of him,
for they were saying that he was crazy.
\VS{22} And the scribes having come down from \Ieros were saying that:
\Beelzebub has [him],
and that: By the ruler of demons he casts out demons.
\VS{23} And having called them he was saying to them:
How is \Satan able to be casting out \Satan?
\VS{24} And if [a] kingdom against itself be divided,
is that kingdom able to be stood firm?
\VS{25} And if [a] house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.
\VS{26} And if \Satan had stood up against himself and was divided,
he is not able to stand but the end has [him].
\VS{27} But no one is able having gone into the house of [a] strong [one]
to plunder his goods unless first he bind the strong [one],
and then will he plunder his house.
\VS{28} Truly I say to you that all will be forgiven by the Son of Humanity\fnAnthropos{},
sins and slanders, whatsoever they slander.
\VS{29} But whoever slanders against the Holy Spirit does not have forgiveness to eternity,
but is guilty of eternal sin.
\VS{30} For they were saying that he has [an] unclean spirit.
\subsubsection{\Iesous's True Family}
\VS{31} And his mother and his brothers come and standing outside they sent to him calling him.
\VS{32} and the crowd was sitting near him, and they say to him:
Behold outside your mother and your brothers and your sisters seek you.
\VS{33} And answering them he says: Who is my mother and my brothers?
\VS{34} And having looked around at those sitting near him round [about] he says:
Behold my mother and my brothers.
\VS{35} Whoever does the will of God, this is my brother and my sister and my mother.
