\subsection{II Corinthians 7 }
\VS{1} So having therefore these promises, agape-beloved, let us cleanse ourselves
from every defilement of flesh and spirit, completing holiness in fear of
God.
\VS{2} Make room for us; we have done no one injustice, we have
corrupted no one, we have defrauded no one.
\VS{3} I say [this] not for
condemnation, for I have told you before, that you are in our hearts to be
co-dying and co-living.
\VS{4} Great boldness [is] to me towards you, great
boasting is to me concerning you, I am filled with comfort, I am overflowed
with joy upon all our afflictions.
\VS{5} For we having come to Macedonia,
our flesh had no rest, but being afflicted in everything, strife without,
fear within.
\VS{6} But the [one] comforting the humble, [namely] God, comforted us by
the coming of Titus.
\VS{7} But not only by his coming, but also by the
comfort by which he was comforted by you, reporting to us your longing, your
lamentation, your zeal in our behalf, so that I rather rejoiced.
\VS{8} For
if I pained you with the letter, I do not regret [it], and if I were regretting,
I see that though that letter pained you for [an] hour,
\VS{9} now I rejoice,
not that you were pained, but that you were pained to repentance. For you
were pained according to God, in order that you suffer loss\fnZemioo{} from us in
nothing.
\VS{10} For the pain according to God works repentance to salvation
without regret, but the pain of this world works death.
\VS{11} For behold
this same [thing], to be pained according to God, how great [an] earnestness it worked
in you, indeed defense, indeed indignation, indeed fear, indeed longing,
indeed zeal, indeed vengeance. In everything you have commended yourselves
to be pure in the matter.
\VS{12} Therefore though I wrote to you, [it is] not on
account of [one] having done injustice, nor on account of the [one] having been done
injustice, but on account [of your] earnestness concerning us having been manifested
before God.
\VS{13} Because of this we were comforted. And by your comfort
we rather exceedingly more rejoiced upon the joy of Titus, because his
spirit was rested by you all.
\VS{14} For if I have boasted anything to him
concerning you, I was not shamed, but as everything I spoke to you in truth,
thus also our boast to Titus became truth.
\VS{15} And his
guts\footnote{i.e. ``feelings''} for you are abundantly more, [he] remembering
all your obedience, how with fear and trembling you received him.
\VS{16} I
rejoice that in everything I am confident in you.
