\subsection{I Thessalonians 4}
\VS{1} Furthermore therefore, brothers, we ask\fnErotao{} you and we call upon you
in [the] Lord Jesus, that just as you received from us how you must be walking and
pleasing God, just as you indeed are walking, that you abound more.
\VS{2} For you know what instruction we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
\VS{3} For this is [the] will of God, [even] your holyfication:
to stay away from fornication,
\VS{4} that each [of you] know [how] to possess his own vessel in holiness and honor,
\VS{5} not in [the] passion of lust even as the nations who do not know God,
\VS{6} to not be transgressing and defrauding his brother in [any] matter,
because [the] Lord [is] avenger of all these, just as we foretold you and warned
[you].
\VS{7} For God did not call you for uncleanness, but for holiness.
\VS{8} Therefore the [one] rejecting, rejects not man but God, who gave his Holy Spirit
to us.
\VS{9} But concerning brotherly-philia-love, you do not have need
[for me] to be writing to you, for you yourselves are God-taught to be agape-loving
one another.
\VS{10} For indeed you do it to all the brothers in all
Macedonia. But we call upon you, brothers, to be abounding more,
\VS{11} and
to be aspiring to be being quiet and to be practicing your own [thing] and to be
working with your hands, just as we instructed you,
\VS{12} in order that
you walk properly towards those outside and have no need.
\VS{13} For we do
not want you to be being ignorant, brothers, concerning those sleeping, in
order that you not be pained even as the rest who have no hope.
\VS{14} For
if we believe that Jesus died and rose, this also will God bring those
having fallen asleep through Christ with him.
\VS{15} For this we speak to
you by word of [the] Lord, that we the zoe-living\fnZoe{}, those left behind for the coming
of the Lord, will \negd{not} precede those having fallen asleep.
\VS{16} For the Lord himself with [a] shout, with [the] voice of [the] archangel and with [the] trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will
rise first,
\VS{17} then the zoe-living\fnZoe{}, those left behind, will with them be
snatched in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus will we always
be with the Lord.
\VS{18} So be encouraging one another with these words.
