\subsection{Philippians 2}
\VS{1} If [there be] therefore any encouragement in Christ, if [there be] any consolation of agape-love, if [there be] any fellowship of [the] spirit,
if any affection and compassion,
\VS{2} fill my joy, in order that you be minded the same, having the same
agape-love, [being] fellow-psyche-lives\fnPsyche{}, being mindful of the one [thing],
\VS{3} nothing [being]
according to strife nor according to conceit, but in humblemindedness be
reckoning one another as surpassing themselves;
\VS{4} each not looking to
his own [things], but each also [looking to] the other's.
\VS{5} Let this mind be being in you
which [is] also in Christ Jesus,
\VS{6} who being in the form of God did not
reckon it loot\footnote{a thing to be grasped or even robbed} to be equal to
God,
\VS{7} but he emptied himself, having taken the form of [a] slave, coming
to be in the likeness of men, and having been found in appearance as [a] man
\VS{8} he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death of [a] cross.
\VS{9} Therefore God also super-exalted him and graced to him the name above
every name,
\VS{10} in order that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow,
heavenly and earthly and sub-earthly,
\VS{11} and every tongue confess:
LORD, JESUS, CHRIST\footnote{or "[the] lord [is] Jesus Christ," or "[the] lord Jesus [is]
Christ,'' or ''[he is] lord, [he is] Jesus, [he is] Christ,'' etc.}, to [the] glory of God [the] father.
\VS{12} Therefore, my agape-beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not
as in my presence only but now much more in my absence, with fear and
trembling be effecting your own salvation.
\VS{13} For God is the [one] working
in you both to be wanting and to be doing according to his good-pleasure.
\VS{14} Be doing everything without grumblings and arguments,
\VS{15} in
order that you become blameless and pure, children of God unblemished in the
midst of [a] crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine as lights
in [the] world,
\VS{16} holding fast [the] word of zoe-life\fnZoe{}, to [a] boast for me in the day
of Christ, that I have not run in vain nor labored in vain.
\VS{17} But if I also be offered up upon the altar and ministry [of your] faith,
I rejoice and I co-rejoice with you all,
\VS{18} so you also [for] the same [thing] be rejoicing and
co-rejoicing with me.
\VS{19} So I hope in [the] Lord Jesus to swiftly send
Timothy to you, in order that I also be happy, having known the [latest news] [about] you.
\VS{20} For I have no one like-souled, who will sincerely care for your state;
\VS{21} for all seek their own [things], not the [things] of Christ Jesus.
\VS{22} But you know his character, that as [a] son to [his] father has he slaved with me for the good-news.
\VS{27} Him therefore I hope to send as soon as I see my
immediate state.
\VS{24} For I am persuaded in the Lord that I myself will
swiftly come.
\VS{25} Yet I reckoned it necessary to send to you Epaproditus
the brother and co-worker and co-soldier, but your apostle, and minister of
my needs,
\VS{26} since he was longing for you all, and being distressed,
because you heard that he had been sick.
\VS{27} For indeed he was sick near
to death. But God was merciful to him, not to him only but also to me, in
order that I now have pain upon pain.
\VS{28} Earnestly therefore have I
sent him, in order that seeing him again you rejoice and I be free from
anxiety.
\VS{29} Therefore be awaiting him in [the] Lord with all joy, and be
having such [men] honored,
\VS{30} because on account of the work of Christ he
drew near to death, risking [his] psyche-life\fnPsyche{}, in order that he supply your lack of
ministry towards me.
