\subsection{Colossians 3}
\VS{1} If therefore you were raised in Christ, be seeking the [things] above, where Christ
is sitting at the right hand of God.
\VS{2} Be being mindful of the [things] above,
not the [things] on the earth.
\VS{3} For you died, and your zoe-life\fnZoe{} is hidden with [the] Christ in God.
\VS{4} Whenever Christ will become visible, [who is] your zoe-life\fnZoe{}, then
also you with him will become visible in glory.
\VS{5} Put to death therefore [your] members upon the earth:
immorality, uncleanness, passion, evil desires and the greediness which is idolatry,
\VS{6} because of which comes
the anger of God upon the sons of disobedience\footnote{``upon the sons of
disobedience" \hesychian{}\koine{} \vulgate ; omit: \papyrus{46}B},
\VS{7} in which also you walked at one time, when you were zoe-living\fnZoe{} in these [things].
\VS{8} But now you also lay aside
all [these]: anger, passion, evil, slander, obscene speech out [of your] mouth.
\VS{9} Do not be lying to one another, taking off the old man with its evil
deeds,
\VS{10} and having put on the new, the [one] being renewed for knowledge
according to the image of the [one] having created it,
\VS{11} where there is not
Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythian, slave,
free, but all indeed are in Christ.
\VS{12} Therefore put on --- as chosen of God holy and agape-beloved ---
affection of mercy, kindness, humblemindedness, gentleness, long-suffering,
\VS{13} being patient with one another and forgiving each other,
if anyone has [a] complaint against anyone;
indeed just as the Lord forgave you, likewise you also [forgive one another].
\VS{14} But above all these [put on] agape-love, which is the bond of completeness.
\VS{15} And let\fnImperative{} the peace of Christ be controlling in your hearts,
for which you also were called in one body; and become thankful.
\VS{16} Let\fnImperative{} the word of Christ be dwelling in you richly, in
all wisdom teaching and warning each other with psalms, hymns, spiritual
songs in kindness, singing in your hearts go God.
\VS{17} And all which you
do in word or in deed, [do] all in [the] name of Christ Jesus, giving thanks to God the father through him.
\VS{18} Wives, be subjecting yourselves to your
husbands, as it is befitting in the Lord.
\VS{19} Husbands, be agape-loving
your wives and do not be being embittered toward them.
\VS{20} Children, be obeying your parents according to everything,
for this is well-pleasing with the Lord.
\VS{21} Fathers, do not be embittering your children, in order
that they not be being discouraged.
\VS{22} Slaves, be obeying in everything
your masters according to the flesh, not in eye-service as men-pleasers, but
in sincerity [of] heart, fearing the Lord.
\VS{23} Whatever you be doing, from
your psyche-life\fnPsyche{} be working as to the Lord, and not to men,
\VS{24} knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance, for you are slaving to the Lord Christ.
\VS{25} Be being subject to the Lord Christ, because the [one] doing unjustly will receive what he did unjustly, and there is no partiality [with God].
