\subsection{I John 5}

|
\VS{1} Everyone believing that Jesus is the Christ is born from God, and everyone
|
|
agape-loving the [one] having begotten agape-loves the [one] having been begotten by him.
|
|
\VS{2} By this we know that we agape-love the children of God, when we
|
|
be agape-loving God and be doing his commandments.
|
|
\VS{3} For this is the agape-love of God, that we be keeping his commandments.
|
|
And his commandments are not burdensome,
|
|
\VS{4} for everyone begotten from God has gained victory over the world;
|
|
and this is the victory having gained victory over the world: our faith.
|
|
\VS{5} Who is the [one] gaining victory over the world except
|
|
the [one] believing that Jesus is the son of God?
|
|
\VS{6} This is the [one] having come
|
|
through water and blood, Jesus Christ, not in water only, but in water and
|
|
in blood, and the spirit is the [one] testifying, because the spirit is truth.
|
|
\VS{7} For three are those testifying:
|
|
\VS{8} The spirit, and the water, and the blood, and the three are into one [thing].
|
|
\VS{9} If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater,
|
|
for this is the testimony of God, that he has testified concerning his son.
|
|
\VS{10} The [one] believing in the son
|
|
of God has the testimony in him. The [one] not believing in God has made him [a]
|
|
liar, because he has not believed in the testimony which God testified
|
|
concerning his son.
|
|
\VS{11} And this is the testimony, that God gave us
|
|
eternal zoe-life\fnZoe{}, and this zoe-life\fnZoe{} is in his son.
|
|
\VS{12} The [one] having the son has zoe-life\fnZoe{},
|
|
the [one] not having the son of God does not have zoe-life\fnZoe{}.
|
|
\VS{13} These [things] I have written to you in order that you have eternal zoe-life\fnZoe{}, to those believing in the name of God.
|
|
\VS{14} And this is the boldness which we have
|
|
with him, that whatever we be asking\fnAiteo{} according to his will, he hears us,
|
|
\VS{15} And if we know that he hears us whatever we be asking\fnAiteo{}, we know that
|
|
we have the request which we asking\fnAiteo{} from him.
|
|
\VS{16} If anyone sees his brother sinning [a] sin not to death, he will ask\fnAiteo{},
|
|
and will give to him zoe-life\fnZoe{}, to those sinning not to death.
|
|
There is [a] sin to death; not concerning this [one] do I say that you
|
|
should ask\fnErotao{}.
|
|
\VS{17} Every injustice is sin, and there is [a] sin not to death.
|
|
\VS{18} We know that everyone born from God does not sin,
|
|
but the [one] having been born from God keeps himself, and the wicked [one]
|
|
does not touch him.
|
|
\VS{19} We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in wickedness\fnPoneros{}.
|
|
\VS{20} And we know that the son of God is come, and he gave to
|
|
us understanding in order that we know the true [one]. And we are in the true
|
|
[one], in his son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and zoe-life\fnZoe{} eternal.
|
|
|
|
\VS{20} Children, guard yourselves from idols.
|
