\subsection{Revelation 13}
\VS{1} And I saw [the] wild-beast coming up from the sea, having ten horns and seven
heads, and upon his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads [were] names of slander
[against God].
\VS{2} And the wild-beast which I saw was like [a] leopard, and his feet
[were] like [a] bear, and his mouth [was] like [the] mouth of [a] lion. And the dragon gave to
him his ability, and his throne, and his great authority.
\VS{3} And one of
his heads [was as though] sealed for death, and the wound of his death was healed. And the whole land marveled after the wild-beast,
\VS{4} and worshipped the dragon,
because he gave authority to the wild-beast, and they worshipped the
wild-beast saying: Who is like the wild-beast, and who is able to make war
with him?
\VS{5} And to him was given [a] mouth to be speaking great [things] and
slanders, and to him was given authority to continue forty two months.
\VS{6} And his mouth was opened for slander against God, to slander his name
and his tent\footnote{i.e. Tabernacle}, and those tenting in heaven.
\VS{7} And to him was given to make war with the holy [ones] and to overcome them, and to
him was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
\VS{8} And all those dwelling on the land worship him, of whom his name is
not written in the scroll of zoe-life\fnZoe{} of the lamb [that was] slain
from the foundation of the world.
\VS{9} If anyone has ears, let\fnImperative{} him be hearing.
\VS{10} If anyone [leads] into captivity, into captivity does he go. If
anyone kills with the sword, he must be killed with sword. Here is the
endurance and faith of the holy [ones].
\VS{11} And I saw another wild-beast
coming up out of the land, and he had two horns like [a] lamb, and he was
speaking like [a] dragon.
\VS{12} And he exercised all the authority of the
first wild-beast before him. And he causes the land and those dwelling in
it that they worship the first wild-beast, of whom his wound of death was
healed.
\VS{13} And he does great signs, in order that he even make fire to
be coming down from heaven to earth before men.
\VS{14} And he deceives
those dwelling on the land by the signs which were given to him to do
before the wild-beast, saying to those dwelling on the land to make [an] image
of the wild-beast, who has the wound of the sword and he zoe-lived\fnZoe{}.
\VS{15} And
it was given to him to give spirit to the image of the wild-beast, in order
that the image of the wild-beast even speak, and cause that as many as do
not worship the image of the beast be killed.
\VS{16} And he causes all,
small and great, and wealthy and poor, and free and slave, that they give to
them [a] mark on their right hand or upon their forehead,
\VS{17} and that no
one be able to buy or sell except the [one] having the mark, the name of the
wild-beast, or the number of his name.
\VS{18} Here is wisdom. The [one] having
understanding, let\fnImperative{} him count the number of the
wild-beast, for it is [the] number of [a] man. And his number [is] six hundred sixty six.
