\subsection{II Timothy 3}
\VS{1} But this I know, that in [the] last days difficult times will be imminent.
\VS{2} For men will be self-philia-lovers, gold-philia-lovers, braggarts, arrogant,
[God]-slanderers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
\VS{3} unloving\fnStorge{} [towards parents and children], irreconcilable,
defamers, undisciplined, uncivilized, not-philia-loving the good,
\VS{4} Traitors, reckless, puffed-up, philia-lovers-of-pleasure rather than
philia-lovers of God,
\VS{5} having [the] form of piety but denying its ability;
and be avoiding these [men].
\VS{6} For from [among] these are those creeping into
houses, and taking captive little\footnote{or ``idle'', ``silly''}-women
overwhelmed with sins, led away by various lusts,
\VS{7} always learning and never able to come to [the] knowledge of truth.
\VS{8} Now just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses,
thus also do these [men] oppose the truth, men [of] corrupted
mind, disqualified concerning the faith.
\VS{9} But they will advance no further;
for their folly will be evident to all, as that of [Jannes and Jambres] became also.
\VS{10} But you have followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith,
long-suffering, agape-love, endurance,
\VS{11} persecutions, sufferings,
what sort of [things] happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra, what sort of
persecutions I endured, and the Lord rescued me from them all.
\VS{12} And all those wanting to zoe-live\fnZoe{} piously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
\VS{13} But wicked\fnPoneros{} men and cheats will progress worse and worse, deceiving
and being deceived.
\VS{14} But you, be abiding in what you heard and have been assured, knowing
concerning whom you have learned,
\VS{15} and that from childhood you knew
[the] sacred scriptures, [which are] able to make you wise to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
\VS{16} Every scripture [is] God-breathed and profitable for
teaching, for reproof, for improvement, for instruction in justice,
\VS{17} in order that the man of God be capable, equipped for every good work.
