\VS{1} And I brothers, was unable to speak to you as to spiritual [ones], but as to
|
|
fleshly as babes in Christ.
|
|
\VS{2} I fed you milk, not [solid] food, for you were
|
|
not yet able. But neither are you now yet able.
|
|
\VS{3} For you are yet
|
|
fleshly. For where [there is] among you jealousy and strife, and divisions, aren't you
|
|
fleshly and walking according to man?
|
|
\VS{4} For when anyone says: I am of
|
|
Paul, but another: I [am] of Apollo, aren't you [being] men?
|
|
\VS{5} Who therefore is
|
|
Apollo, or who is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, and to each
|
|
[one] as the Lord gave.
|
|
\VS{6} I planted, Apollo watered, but God made [it] grow.
|
|
\VS{7} So that neither is the [one] planting anything nor the [one] watering, but
|
|
[rather] the [one] making [it] grow --- God.
|
|
\VS{8} So the [one] planting and the [one] watering are
|
|
one [thing], and each will receive his own reward according to his own work.
|
|
\VS{9} For we are co-workers of God, you are the field of God, the building of God.
|
|
\VS{10} According to the grace of God given me as [a] wise masterbuilder have I
|
|
placed the foundation, but another built upon [it] Let\fnImperative{} each
|
|
be seeing how he builds upon [it].
|
|
\VS{11} For another foundation no one is able
|
|
to place besides the [one] having been laid, which is Christ Jesus.
|
|
\VS{12} So if anyone builds upon the foundation [with] gold, silver,
|
|
precious stones, wood, grass, straw,
|
|
\VS{13} the work of each will become manifest. For the day
|
|
will show [it], because it is revealed in fire, and the fire itself will test
|
|
the work of each, what sort it is.
|
|
\VS{14} If any work abides which he
|
|
built, he will receive reward.
|
|
\VS{15} If any work is burnt up, he will
|
|
suffer loss\fnZemioo{}, but he himself will be saved, but thus as through fire.
|
|
\VS{16} Don't you know that you are [the] temple of God, and the spirit of God dwells in
|
|
you?
|
|
\VS{17} If anyone corrupts the temple of God, God will corrupt this
|
|
[one]. For the temple of God is holy, which you are.
|
|
|
|
\VS{18} Let\fnImperative{} no one be deceiving himself: if anyone
|
|
supposes [he] is wise among you in this age, let\fnImperative{} him become
|
|
foolish, in order that he become wise.
|
|
\VS{19} For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written:
|
|
|
|

|
|
[He is] the [one] grasping the wise in their craftiness.
|
|
\end{verse}
|
|
|
|
\VS{20} And again:
|
|
|
|
\begin{verse}
|
|
[The] Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, \\
|
|
That they are futile.
|
|
\end{verse}
|
|
|
|
\VS{21} So let\fnImperative{} no one be boasting among men, for
|
|
everything is yours,
|
|
\VS{22} whether of Paul, or Apollo, or
|
|
Cephas\footnote{another name for Peter}, or world, or zoe-life\fnZoe{}, or death, or
|
|
[things] present, or [things] [about] to be, all [are] yours,
|
|
\VS{23} and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
|
